Ron Kalin

Ron Kalin has over 20 years of experience in software engineering, system architecture, project management, and mission critical application delivery. Ron is currently VP of Technology at Interwise, Inc.--a leading provider of web conferencing and eLearning software--where he co-manages product design activities and presents Interwise's technology vision to customers and industry analysts. Earlier in his career, Ron was a System Architect at Lotus, a Technical Director at D.E. Shaw Financial Technology (acquired by Merrill Lynch), and a computer science researcher at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Lab. He has also served as VP of Engineering at several Boston-area start-up companies, building and directing engineering teams while assisting with business strategy, product vision, and investor relations at these companies. Ron possesses broad application domain expertise, having led the development of award-winning software products in the areas of web-based conferencing, digital media production, online brokerage systems, financial forecasting, spreadsheet applications, and three-dimensional graphics. Ron holds a BA from Princeton University with concentrations in Computer Science and Political Philosophy.
