IT Support Technician

As Building Engines continues to deliver new products and technology for the Commercial Real Estate market, we are looking for a great IT Support Technician that will manage our desktop, laptop, vpn and AV systems, as well as working with various vendors to ensure our hardware and software environments are secure and scalable environment as we grow. You will gain exposure to our product and cloud systems, with the opportunity to learn and use various AWS technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems, with interest and experience around security and operational controls.

What you’ll do:

  • Install and configure new computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
  • Repair and replace equipment as necessary
  • Ensure VOIP phone system stays running smoothly
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Handle inbound questions and requests
  • Provide technical support across the company, over the phone and in person
  • Assist with SOC 2 compliance and annual audits
  • On-board new employees and setting up accounts
  • Survey and propose relevant new training for employees
  • Help select and work with vendors to augment and improve our internal IT

Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with both mac and windows environment
  • Experience working with vendors for IT tasks (backups, security, etc.)
  • Experience working across multiple locations (remote and local)
  • Strong skills with Office365
  • Relevant technical degree
  • Certifications in relevant fields (security, IT, compliance, etc.)
  • Proven judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks
