Building Engines Receives SOC 2 Report

Leading web and mobile commercial real estate property management software provider, Building Engines, announced today that it has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit, effective November 30, 2015.

The audit verifies that Building Engines’ information security practices, policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 standards for security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy.

“In an increasingly dynamic security environment, we are pleased to be one of the first SOC 2 certified SaaS providers in the Commercial Real Estate technology market,” said David Osborn, Chairman and CEO of Building Engines. “This clearly illustrates our commitment to security and underscores the investment we’ve made to safeguard our customers’ data, meeting the enterprise-class demands for public entities and financial institutions.”

Tom Laverty, VP of Development at Building Engines, sponsored the SOC 2 Audit, independently conducted by Gray CPA, PLLC of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Gray ran the Audit over several months in accordance with AICPA’s SOC reporting standards, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of Building Engines’ internal controls and processes. Gray determined that in all respects, Building Engines’ internal controls, systems and processes meet or exceed the required standard.

“Building Engines strives to be a leader in providing commercial real estate property management teams with secure, consistently available services that hold their privacy in the highest regard,” said Laverty. “This SOC 2 report proves that we’re making the right moves in our ongoing efforts to achieve that goal.”
