Nina joined Building Engines in 2019 as Chief People Officer. Prior to Building Engines, Nina was head of organizational development for Foundation Medicine, a cancer decision insights company that was acquired by Roche. Prior to that, Nina held several leadership roles in talent operations at McKinsey New Ventures, the technology incubator of McKinsey & Company, where she was also a consultant serving technology companies on talent and people topics. Earlier in her career, Nina built and led the business development function at IHS Economics in Asia, a market analytics division of Information Services company IHS, and became the Asia-Pacific business development head. She has also worked at the Economist Intelligence Unit in Singapore, INSEAD business school in Paris, Genome Canada in Montreal, the International Rescue Committee in Kosovo, and the United Nations Development Program in New Delhi. She has a PhD in anthropology from the University of Michigan, a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a BA from Wesleyan. Nina lives with her husband and son in Boston where she plays squash and enjoys picnics on the esplanade.
