As Building Engines SVP Scott Sidman recently discussed at BOMA 2013, the “Big Data” paradox is that while businesses in all industries are increasingly automating their operating procedures and adding advanced systems, they are losing productivity.
Sure, it’s great that technology trends are shifting towards mobile across the board, but when you have multiple programs running on your mobile device – each one vying for your immediate attention – your priorities shift and often times become overwhelming.
Enter Aye Moah of Baydin Inc.: This tech savvy innovator is returning your sanity one email at a time. She’s created a Google app called “Inbox Pause” that allows Gmail users to control what messages appear in their inbox. You can pause all incoming messages so they won’t appear in your inbox until you’re ready for them, thus freeing you up to concentrate on other tasks.
Here’s how it works:
1. Sign up here and Inbox Pause adds a “pause” button to your Gmail.
2. Click “pause” to stop new messages from flooding your inblox.
3. When you “unpause” your inbox, all of the messages that you received during the break will be moved to your Inbox, and new messages will arrive as before.
As we all know, time is money, and with this new app, property managers (and all who use it) will be reaping the benefits.
