BUILDING ENGINES RELEASES BENCHMARK SURVEY REPORT: PROPERTY AND TENANT WEBSITES

Building Engines, global provider of comprehensive web-based and mobile property and tenant management solutions, today released a Property & Tenant Websites Benchmark Report compiled from a 2013 Property Websites Survey of hundreds of commercial real estate professionals. The survey report – which represents a full range of industries, company sizes and functional areas – provides comparative analytics to help property owners and managers assess their building-level website strategy, implement best practices, and select features that will help to attract and retain tenants.

The report, which is designed in an infographic style for easy consumption, presents the following: The anatomy of a best-in-class property website Tips for attracting tenants through your online presence Best practices for integrating tenant services, including online tenant information handbooks, service request portals, visitor access, and resource scheduling How to present and manage leasing information How to present marketing items, including building photos and videos, amenities, and neighborhood information The most important property and tenant website features

“The first step to creating a positive experience for tenants, is to understand that their expectations have changed,” explained Sarah Fisher, Director of Marketing and Communications at Building Engines. “Tenants want to be able to access service requests, contact management and review building and emergency information online and in real time. This survey was about setting a benchmark for where the industry is today and establishing best practices for meeting those expectations.” The release of the Survey Report represents Building Engines’ continuing commitment to customer and market-driven research and product development. The survey will help to inform the development of a new websites product, BuildingConnect that will provide property owners and managers with an affordable and attainable solution for marketing individual properties and serving their existing tenants with a single, unified web presence that is easy to launch, configure and manage. You can access the Survey Report here.
