BEI Appoints Stephen Walsh as VP of Sales

Building Engines, provider of a comprehensive web-based and mobile operations management solution for owners and managers of all property types, announced the hire of Stephen Walsh as Vice President of Sales. As a seasoned sales executive with over 15 years of leadership experience scaling enterprise application company revenues, Steve will be responsible for executing Building Engines’ global sales strategy.

Steve brings a wealth of experience from both private and public companies, most recently serving as co-CEO of datango AG where he grew their direct revenues for all markets outside of Germany and established their global partner business prior to the company’s successful sale to SAP in 2012. Steve has also served as Vice President, Sales for Progress Software’s EasyAsk division; and General Manager, Americas, for Enlight AB, a public Swedish company which was acquired by datango in 2007. Steve has held senior sales and marketing positions at Fast Search and Transfer, now a Microsoft subsidiary focused on enterprise search; x.hlp, a privately held Norwegian company; and RM plc, Europe’s largest supplier of technology to education. He currently serves as an advisor to Alternative Technology Solutions, a rapidly growing ERP and Salesforce integration company, and datango Inc., a member of the datango AG group of companies.
Steve holds a BSc in Managerial and Administrative Studies from the Aston University Business School in the UK, and a post graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK.
